SUMMARY:5 Alarm!
DESCRIPTION:By Kristen Da Silva\n\n\n\n\n“Grande Prairie Live Theatre’s third play of our 63rd Season” \nWhat happens when friendship is broken and turns into a bitter rivalry? 5 Alarm is about this and more! Hot Chili\, healing\, and friendship come together in this heartwarming comedy. \nA fairground in Killaloe\, Ontario is home to the annual Wayne Rose Memorial Chili Cook Off\, where Killaloe residents come each year to compete for the honour and the cash prize. The most determined of these is Ava Rose\, who has tried (and failed) to win for sixteen years. This year\, with the help of a new assistant\, Ava returns to battle her former childhood friend and rival. If she can piece together her late father’s missing Five Alarm Chili recipe she might just piece together the mysteries of her past. \n“…Da Silva’s script will keep you guessing where the narrative is heading. And the laughs just keep coming.” \n– Dan Brown\, the London Free Press \n“This rollercoaster adventure that Ava Rose takes\, on her mission to equal the master of all masters chili\, is an intriguing and delightfully funny romp that keeps you guessing on what will happen next.” \n– Doug Harvey\, Port Stanley News \nProduced by special arrangement with: \nMarquis Entertainment Inc.\, 10 Adelaide Street East\, Suite 402\, Toronto\, Ontario M5C 1J3 CANADA\n416-960-9123 x 223\nColin Rivers\, Managing Literary Agent\ninfo@mqlit.ca\n\n  \n\nShowtimes\n\nThursday November 27\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nFriday November 28\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nSaturday November 29\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nThursday December 4\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nFriday December 5\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nSaturday December 6\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nThursday December 11\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nFriday December 12\, 2025 – 07:30PM \nSaturday December 13\, 2025 – 07:40PM

SUMMARY:Looking Glass Land
DESCRIPTION:By James DeVita\n\n\n\n\n“Grande Prairie Live Theatre’s fourth play of our 63rd Season” \nLooking Glass Land is Fun for the Whole Family! and Kids of all Ages! With special Sunday matinee performances!! \nThis award-winning stage adaptation by renowned playwright James DeVita takes Lewis Carroll’s original Through the Looking Glass and literally runs with it. This wild adaptation highlights and improvises on the pure\, unadulterated fun of the story. The play still retains some of Carroll’s deeper meanings\, but what it possesses most of all is a huge helping of unabashed silliness! this delightful romp through Alice’s looking glass land retains all of the familiar characters then introduces dozens of new ones: a baseball team\, a gospel group called The Responsibilities\, a train conductor\, a peanut salesman\, detectives\, a Miss America pageant\, star-struck tourists\, plastic light saber wielding knights and much more. \nDirected by Alyssa Hudson \nShowtimes\n\nFriday January 23\, 2026 – 07:00PM \nSaturday January 24\, 2026 – 01:30PM \nSaturday January 24\, 2026 – 04:00PM \nSunday January 25\, 2026 – 01:30PM \nFriday January 30\, 2026 – 07:00PM \nSaturday January 31\, 2026 – 01:30PM \nSaturday January 31\, 2026 – 04:00PM \nSunday February 1\, 2026 – 01:30PM

SUMMARY:Paint Night
DESCRIPTION:By Carey Crim\n\n\n\n\n“Grande Prairie Live Theatre’s fifth play of our 63rd Season” \nComedy for 16+ Audiences. Language and mature content. \nImagine STEEL MAGNOLIAS with modern day issues\, as six women gather for a much-needed girls’ night out. The plan is to eat\, drink and create works of art at a local Paint and Sip night studio while celebrating a bride to be. But as the alcohol flows\, so do their thoughts on motherhood and womanhood\, and their carefully curated lives get hilariously and heartbreakingly real. PAINT NIGHT is about the powerful way women support each other in an unpredictable world and what happens when we put down our cellphones\, truly connect\, and paint outside the lines of our comfort zone. \nReviews: \n“BRILLIANT… Playwright Carey Crim has crafter another wonderful play… [Crim] creates a canvas of characters that we all either know well or recognize in part in ourselves\, and chooses a daring palette of issues that are some of the most human\, and most often shared by women… The interactions between the feminine factions crackle with sarcasm\, humorous cultural references\, intellectual debate and personal disagreements”\n— The Sun Journal \n“[PAINT NIGHT} falls nicely within a genre of entertainment that blends broad\, old-school naughty humor together with references to serious contemporary issues that personally trouble the strong women characters… All the issues are located in the many individual challenges they\, as women\, battle as they try to balance the ever-changing demands of parenthood and work while attempting to somehow keep a pretty picture of it all in their minds”\n—Portland Press Herald \nPresented by arrangement with: \nTheatre Rights Worldwide \n1180 Avenue of the Americas\nSuite 640\nNew York\, NY 10036 \n(866) 378-9758\nlicensing@theatricalrights.com \nShowtimes\n\nThursday February 19\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday February 20\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday February 21\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nThursday February 26\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday February 27\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday February 28\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nThursday March 5\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday March 6\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday March 7\, 2026 – 07:30PM

SUMMARY:Tick… Tick… Boom!
DESCRIPTION:By Jonathan Larson\n\n\n\n\n“Grande Prairie Live Theatre’s sixth play of our 63rd Season” \nAdult themes for ages 16 +. Content Warnings: Tick\, Tick… Boom! contains discussion and representations of the following themes: adult themes\, HIV/AIDS\, mental health\, drug and alcohol use. \nA ticking can be heard in the background symbolizing the increasing anxiety Jon feels as he speeds towards his 30th birthday. Jon is a promising young composer who feels like he needs to make something of his life before he hits this next big birthday. The only problem is his agent won’t return his calls\, he can barely afford his rent\, and he is coming up on one of the biggest creative milestones he’s had to date. He wonders if time would ever slow down\, and if he will ever see the future he hopes for. \nTick…Tick…Boom! is a semi-autobiographical musical based on the life and early career of composer Jonathan Larson\, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent. Jonathan himself performed in the original workshop at Second Stage Theater Off-Broadway in September of 1990. It is the story of a composer and the sacrifices that he made to achieve his big break in theatre. Containing fourteen songs\, ten characters\, three actors and a band\, Tick\, Tick… Boom! takes you on the playwright/composer’s journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster. \nEveryone will love this youthful\, endearing and thoughtful piece\, and will surely embrace the universal ideal of holding onto your dreams through life’s most difficult challenges. \n  \nProduced by special arrangement with: \nMusic Theatre International \n423 West 55th Street \nSecond Floor \nNew York\, NY 10019 \nT: +1 (212) 541-4684 \nF: +1 (212) 397-4684 \nShowtimes\n\nThursday March 26\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday March 27\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday March 28\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nThursday April 2\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday April 3\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday April 4\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nThursday April 9\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nFriday April 10\, 2026 – 07:30PM \nSaturday April 11\, 2026 – 07:30PM
