Noelle Schallhorn

Noelle Schallhorn

(1999-2000)

Noelle Schallhorn (she/they) is a Grande Prairie born and raised artist who is passionate about the theatre community. After developing a knack for performance in school, Noelle began her involvement with GPLT in 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. She has stepped into various roles both on and off stage, with acting, writing, and directing credits to her name. Noelle is an avid participant of the Peace Region One Act Festival in which she has submitted three original works over the past three years. She can also be caught volunteering annually at the Bear Creek Folk Festival on the face painting team. Noelle’s previous board experience with Cavalcade Theatre Company has helped her tremendously in her role at GPLT. Noelle was thrilled to be elected as the Youth Member and looks forward to the continued work of serving the community on a board level.

“Since becoming involved, GPLT has been such a meaningful place of connection and belonging for me. The beauty of so many people of different walks of life coming together to create art for the community is something that I love and believe in very deeply.”

Jenn Robertson

Jenn Robertson

(1999-2000)

Jennifer Robertson has a Bachelor of Arts – majoring in Drama and a Bachelor of Education – majoring in Dramatic Education from the University of Lethbridge.  She has been onstage acting, singing and/or directing in 25+ shows over the last 30+ years. Most recently, she was the Director of Grease, the Musical and Shrek, the Musical for GPLT! She has also done some work in film and television when living in Calgary.

Theatre is part of who I am. It fills my bucket in so many ways. There is just no better feeling than bringing joy to the people of the peace region. Being a member of the board for Grande Prairie Live Theatre is an honour, as it gives me the voice to help ensure GPLT continues to provide top-notch entertainment for our community.

Jessica Moutray

Jessica Moutray

(1999-2000)

Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Jessica began acting, singing, and dancing at the age of 12. Her passion for the arts was heavily inspired by Broadway musicals and local theatre, and in 2012 she received a role in GPLT’s production of CATS where she would meet her future husband, John. They got married on the Grande Prairie Live Theatre stage in 2015.

After countless live theatre productions, both on stage and behind-the-scenes, she decided to move to Vancouver to pursue a film career in 2017 which lead to several award winning short films and 2 Feature films. While still actively producing for Constellate Films in Vancouver, Jessica moved back to GP in 2020 and has since engaged in the local film scene.

Now in her 30’s with over 20 years of stage and production experience, she remains a huge advocate for arts and culture in the Peace Country. She enjoys encouraging other filmmakers by adjudicating for film festivals such as Okotoks, ESFF, and PRIMAA’s Frantic48 challenge. Furthermore, her dedication to fostering emotional and psychological safety in performance arts has become a driving force in her work, ensuring that creative spaces are supportive, inclusive, and empowering for all artists involved.

“Sitting on the board with so many dedicated, creative individuals is a fun and fulfilling way to give back to the community I love so much. It’s a great opportunity to learn about how things operate behind-the-curtain.”
