The Grande Prairie Children’s Theatre, founded in October 2023, is dedicated to providing high-quality musical theatre education for children and youth in our community. Our program welcomes students who love to sing, dance, act, and experience the magic of a full-scale production. Since launching, our students have been developing skills, honing their talents, and forming lasting friendships, all while preparing for an exciting final performance.
Under the guidance of Producer and Creative Director Nikki Fournier, Director John Moutray, Stage Manager Hailey Hayter, Music Director Laurie Gravengard, Choreographer Jeannine Younger, Technical Director Adam Prezio, Audio Technician Jess Moutray, and our talented costume and set/prop teams, two casts combined of approximately 51 students, ages 9 to 17, are thrilled to present Nickelodeon’s “The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition!”

With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
