President: Abby Webb

President: Abby Webb

(1999-2000)
We are excited to welcome Abby as the new President of the Board for GPLT.
Abby has been actively involved with GPLT since 2011, contributing in a wide variety of roles including performing, backstage work, directing, and board leadership. She previously served as a Board Executive from 2015–2018, and is thrilled to be returning to the board.
Her love of theatre began at a young age, growing up attending professional productions and the Fringe Festival in Winnipeg. Since stepping down from the GPLT board in 2018 to focus on raising her children, Abby has remained deeply engaged in the community through volunteer work in the NICU and as a Member at Large with the Troyanda Ukrainian Society.
Abby moved to Grande Prairie in 2010 to begin her career as a speech-language pathologist and now serves as the Clinical Lead for Pediatrics and Speech-Language Pathology. She is honoured to rejoin GPLT and looks forward to working with the board, volunteers, and community to continue fostering vibrant local theatre.

Noelle Schallhorn (she/they) is a Grande Prairie born and raised artist who is passionate about the theatre community. After developing a knack for performance in school, Noelle began her involvement with GPLT in 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. She has stepped into various roles both on and off stage, with acting, writing, and directing credits to her name. Noelle is an avid participant of the Peace Region One Act Festival in which she has submitted three original works over the past three years. She can also be caught volunteering annually at the Bear Creek Folk Festival on the face painting team. Noelle’s previous board experience with Cavalcade Theatre Company has helped her tremendously in her role at GPLT. Noelle was thrilled to be elected as the Youth Member and looks forward to the continued work of serving the community on a board level.

“Since becoming involved, GPLT has been such a meaningful place of connection and belonging for me. The beauty of so many people of different walks of life coming together to create art for the community is something that I love and believe in very deeply.”
