Welcoming our New General Manager and Technical Director

The Grande Prairie Live Theatre is excited to announce that we have brought on John Moutray as our interim General Manager. John has been a vibrant part of the GPLT community, wearing many hats. Whether it be a part of the GPLT Board, a shining member on the stage, a busy set of hands backstage, in the technical booth – and quite honestly wherever you might need him. John is experienced within our theatre community, and brings additional experience from his time in Vancouver, where he dipped his toes into the Film and Television scene, and found a home in the Voice Acting world.

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to John Rowe who is our new Technical Director. John is an accomplished technician within our community, who has ample experience in the theatre community here in Grande Prairie, he spent 15 years managing the technical aspects of the Douglas J Cardinal theatre, where he brought a bright and vibrant experience to audiences for a variety of shows. Not to mention the time he spent at Mount Elizabeth Theatre, where he provided 11 years as technical director.

GPLT would like to give a warm and fond farewell to our outgoing General Manager, Dawn Miller. We are grateful for her time with our organization and the energy she brought to the theatre in her time. We wish her the very best in her next endeavors and look forward to what she will bring next in the community.

We would like to also give a heartfelt thank you to David Banks for his time with the Grande Prairie Live Theatre, and his many contributions with the organization. We are grateful for his guidance, passion and experience throughout his time with Grande Prairie Live Theatre and know that he will continue to do great things in the arts world in his next step.

While we are saddened by these departures, we are also eager to see what John and John bring to our Grande Prairie Live Theatre community and are excited for this new chapter.
