This concert features the Youth Orchestra along with the Symphony Orchestra performing Benjamin Britten’s A Simple Symphony. Two concertos are featured: Roshana Jahnert playing Mendelssohn’s Concerto No. 1 in G Minor and Glen Kilian playing Concertino for Clarinet by Carl Maria von Weber. Other selections include Dvorak’s Symphony no. 9 (New World), The Sound of Music, Light Calvary Overture, Music from Apollo 13, and Cortege from Mlada by Rimsky-Korsakov.
